The Royal Kids
This year is truly special for us as we celebrate our very first kidding season! We're so excited to share that all four of our Little Ladies successfully delivered twins, giving us eight adorable and healthy kids who are fully ADGA-registrable. This year, we named our kids after the United Kingdom royal family.
We’ve raised all our kids dam-side and handled with love from the start. Dam-raising is so valuable because it lets the kids get natural nutrition and immune support from their mother's milk, while also helping them learn important herd behaviors. When we combine this with daily human handling, we get the best of both worlds: healthy goats that are naturally friendly, confident, and well-socialized, becoming more like pets that contribute to the family’s aims.
All the kids receive their initial vaccinations before they find new homes, and they get to visit the veterinarian for a check-up within their first two weeks. If they are identified as horned, they will be disbudded, ensuring they remain comfortable and healthy. All bucklings are sold intact males, as we aim to find them their forever herd before it's time for them to safely transition to a wether, if that is the buyer's desire.
Our priorities when kidding are to: 1) lovingly breed our Little Ladies so they can provide us with milk; 2) find wonderful homes for their adorable kids; and 3) set a fair price that helps us cover our expenses from the breeding season. You can gently hold your little one, both literally and figuratively, with a non-refundable $100 deposit, which will go toward your total balance. We look forward to sharing this joyful experience with you!
To set both the kids and their new home up for success, the kids will be available only after they turn 8 weeks old, are fully weaned, and reach 20 lbs—whichever milestone comes last—to ensure they are strong and ready for their new herd. Conditions of Sale
Herd Companionship: All our kids are lovingly dam-raised and human-handled every day to ensure they are healthy and happy. They are wonderfully social animals and truly thrive in a herd environment. We only sell goats to homes in which the kid will have a companion. If you’re just starting your herd, we’re happy to help you acquire at least two goats to begin with, including providing a discount if one of those is a buckling.
Health & Biosecurity: We stand behind the health of our goats at the time they leave our homestead. Because moving can be stressful for them, we can’t guarantee their health once they’re with you. To keep our herd’s health pristine, all sales are final. We follow strict biosecurity rules and cannot accept returns once an animal has left our property.
Reservations & Payment: A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve a kid, which goes directly toward your total balance. The remaining balance is due in full at the time of pickup, preferably in cash or using an approved electronic payment method.
Boarding: When your kid is ready to go home, please pick them up within 14 days. If you need extra time, a small boarding fee of $3.00 per day will apply. If pickup isn’t possible within 30 days of the ready date, we’ll unfortunately need to cancel the reservation, forfeit the deposit, and relist the kid so it can find its forever home.
ADGA Registration: All kids are fully registrable with ADGA. Following pickup, we will initiate the online transfer process through the ADGA portal, allowing the new owner to easily complete the registration under their name. The new owners will need to provide their ADGA Participant ID # and confirm the kid's name.
